As designers, the work we create can unknowingly perpetuate certain ideologies that have destructive consequences. One of the more obvious examples of this is the encouragement of endless consumption—through carefully cultivated messaging, desirable branding, and packaging that often does more to conceal (labor practices, ecological impact) than to inform.
