LOS ANGELES — In a sea of thousands, a father and son made memories at the Super Bowl Experience at the Los Angeles Convention Center that they hope will last a lifetime.
“Having my son here with me is priceless,” Leanear Lane said. “This will be a memory for him to relive forever.”

Elijah Lane, 10, has been looking forward to visiting the Super Bowl Experience for weeks.
“It’s pretty fun. I got to do (the 40-yard dash) two times and an obstacle course once,” said Lane. “Next, I’m going to do the obstacle course again.”
The Los Angeles Rams are Elijah’s favorite team.
His favorite players are Aaron Donald and Matthew Stafford, so it’s no surprise who he’s predicting to win the big game.
“The Rams are going to win,” Lane said.

Meanwhile, Elijah’s father, Leanear, knows the significance of being able to attend the extravaganza with his young son.
“Just to have this experience with my son and to be able to cherish it and be able to look back on photos and that we’re here able to pick up something that says ‘Super Bowl’ on it,” Lane continued. “I can share with my grandkids, he can share with his grandkids that, yes, we were here at the LA Convention Center and also hopefully get a chance to go to the Super Bowl game. It’s fantastic.”

The Lanes drove 70 miles from Lake Elsinore to downtown Los Angeles early Saturday morning to be one of the first fans inside when the doors opened at noon.
“I didn’t think having this here (at the Los Angeles Convention Center) would be like this,” Lane explained. “Having the football players here, having the fans here, having the DJ, the jerseys (on display), it’s great.”

Meanwhile, seven-time Pro Bowler Torry Holt, who was with the St. Louis Rams when they won Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000, kicked off the event by receiving the Vince Lombardi Trophy at the LA Convention Center.
Holt said his favorite part of the Super Bowl Experience is meeting fans and talking about life and football.
“My favorite part of Super Bowl Experience is interacting with the fans. I’m going to go over to an autograph session and I’ll sit and talk to the fans as they come through and give autographs. Just talking to them about football, talking to them about life,” said Holt. “That’s the part that I enjoy interacting with the fans and then seeing all the superstars from the NFL come through the convention center this week is going to be fantastic.”

Kameron Earl, 18, also spent several hours with his family at the Super Bowl Experience. Earl was one of the fastest people to run the 40-yard dash.
“I like the activities that they have, it’s very family-oriented,” said Earl, who lives in Ontario. “We’ve already taken some family videos, interviews and photos. We will add them to our wall of photos at home.”
Earl also said he learned something he didn’t know about all of the artists who have performed during past Super Bowl halftime shows.
“I thought that was really cool because they had some of their costumes of what they wore when they did the halftime show,” Earl added before sharing that he was looking forward to seeing the Super Bowl trophy in person before leaving the Super Bowl Experience.

Meanwhile, Lane said, with his wife’s blessing, he wants to continue making memories by buying two tickets, so he and Elijah can attend the big game at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
“Money will be no object with that, just have him with me at a Super Bowl, if we can afford it, it will be nice.”
