When I was getting out of debt, taking Australian paid surveys was a key part of my extra income plan.
I would take online surveys on the train home and earn extra money during my downtime.
There were loads of other things I did to boost my income too (read them here) but Australian online surveys were the easiest way to earn extra money.
I wanted to share with you my list of the best survey sites in Australia, so you too can earn extra cash or gift vouchers and have some fun at the same time.

Their stated payout rate is $0.28/min, which equals $16.80 an hour – far higher than other market research groups.

Their refer a friend program is top-notch. For every friend you refer, you’ll get $1 – but then, Octopus Group will continue to reward you with $1 for every survey your friend completes, up to a total of $20 per friend.
That’s far above the market average.
Why we like it

If you’ve started taking Australian paid surveys in 2020 you might be wondering what all the fuss is about. Survey numbers are lower at the moment so you might wait a while for your first survey. We trust this will pick up as things get back to normal
6. Survey Junkie
This updated Aussie paid surveys review wouldn’t be complete without Survey Junkie.
Although Survey Junkie is a US-based survey site, it’s open to members in Australia, Canada and the United States and is known across those countries as being one of the top surveys for money Australian options due to its high payouts of up to $50.

7. Valued Opinions
Valued Opinions have long been rated as one of the best Aussie survey sites on Trustpilot and for good reason.
They use a simple dollar system so you know you’ll earn exactly $2 or $5 for a survey ($5 is their maximum payment per survey – mine tend to be around $4).
Valued Opinions ONLY pay out in gift vouchers, which might not suit you, but if you’re cool with that, they are worth a look.
Valued Opinions rewards are perfect for building a Christmas gift card stash.
In my experience, it’s possible to earn $20/monthly with them – more if you tried really hard – which can add up to a healthy Christmas fund.
Why we love it

- Pay quite well – a maximum of $5 per survey
Rewards
Gift vouchers only starting at $20 – including Woolworths, Coles, Dymocks, Myer, JB Hifi, Supercheap Auto, Bunnings, iTunes and Xbox vouchers.

How to succeed with paid surveys
These quick tips will ensure you earn the maximum rewards for your survey efforts.
- Fill out your profile completely – a complete profile gets more survey offers
- Be honest – most paid survey sites will ask you to repeat key information over and over again when qualifying for surveys. If you’re honest, this won’t be an issue.
- Be realistic – survey money is a sweet little extra you can earn from home. It is by no means a way to replace your regular income. If you want more ideas on how to build an online empire, check out this post on how to make money online.
